Overport is proud to show the parents and guardians of our students, the artwork they have recently been creating. We believe that art encourages children to think, as well as develop skills and confidence as they learn. That is why we are encouraging our students to think outside the box and to become as creative as possible. Below are just some of the recent activities we have indulged into.
In one of our art classes, we have encouraged students to paint, allowing the learners explore with colour and shapes, this encourages fundamental learning as playing gives children a chance to practice what they are learning in other classes.
We also asked students to experiment with paper mat assemblage, where we showed our learners how to turn a sheet of paper into a placemat using a rolling technique.
